Irish Flood Relief quilt top finished.

Today I finished the quilt top for the Irish Flood Relief (see couple of posts back..). I made it a priority as the sooner it gets to the very nice people at Irish Quilting Magazine, the better!

A big HURRAH to them and Rachel for organising it all. I hope they get many blocks and tops sent to them.

I will wrap it and send it straight away tomorrow.

Very pretty! You can't beat the disappearing nine-patch pattern for a nice quick quilt!

Thanks Catherine and Susan! It helps having some time without schoolruns over christmas Catherine. Susan, if you click on the Irish quilting flood relief link in my post, you get to their website. This is the pattern they ask for, either just one block, or two or more etc. As I had some of that lovely butterfly fabric I thought I would used it up so the top is coordinated. Hope the combination is to someones liking!

Oh, wow! Thanks very much from all of us at Irish Quilting. We have two travels planned to Co. Cork and Co. Galway in the coming weeks, and we will be happy to finish and find homes where these quilts will bring back the warmth. Thanks very much. Happy new year. Sherry@irishquilting.ie

Oh, that's lovely! Isn't it so fun to only make the top and let someone else finish it off? I'd do so many more charity quilts if I could get away with that every time. :-)
