Your dog's so sweet! Do you have to wash him after every walk? Or does he just shake it off? (you can tell I have cats, right?).
Very funny little storyline there, Marg!

Thanks guys! Bearpaw, it is a very good question as it differs from dog to dog. Many dogs swim every day and just dry up. Rafael has a sensitive skin and if the salt dries on his skin, combined with the sand that stays in his coat (then dries at home and drops... everywhere!!)it rubs like sandpaper and affects him. So he does get a shower when we get back in. It doesn't take long. He hops in the bath, I shower him down with the handheld and just lukewarm water (not shampoo every day! bad also!!) and get rid of the salt and most of the sand. That seems to do the trick. I don't always feel like it but it is a small price to pay for healthy skin! If I ever were to design a house from scratch, we'd have a back entrance with a dog shower just when you come in the door!!

He is just the coolest dog

He is so gorgeous, looks like a big teddy bear jumping about in the waves. You must get stopped by people walking past to talk about him a lot? I took my brothers Groodle out walking and got lots of people asking what he was (golden retriever x poodle). xo
